I am thinking that maybe it would help to make the 1's one pixel *wider*. What do you think?
Hm. I made the blue 1's all one pixel wider. They look really strange. I think part of the problem is that the black 1's are still their same old size, which makes them not look like they are even the same digit.#4: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Jul 12, 2022
Ok, now I widened the black 1's, too. It's easier to distinguish the colors, but I don't love it.
Still thinking... Ideas are welcome!
